Mountsandel Wood ‘Get to Know You’ Session

One of the best things about a pre-wedding ‘Get to Know You’ Session, other than meeting  your couple, is getting to explore wonderful locations. When Jennie and Richard chose a walk around Mountsandal Wood for their photoshoot I was absolutely delighted - I have lived on the North Coast my entire life however I had never visited this lovely forest of broadleaf and conifer trees. 

If you know anything about me you know that I absolutely love dogs and when I heard that Jennie and Richard were bringing their pawesome pal, Roo, with them I couldn’t have been happier! While introducing an animal to a photoshoot often adds some unpredictability, I love the challenge of getting great photos my couples and their canine companion. 

In my experience, there aren’t many couples who will tell you that they love being in front of the camera. My ‘Get to Know You’ sessions are all about breaking down those barriers ahead of the big day; getting a feel for me and my personality and getting to see what it’s like to have a photographer capturing your day. 

While we spent more time chatting and getting to know each other on this one, I still captured some really great photographs of this lovely couple, who couldn’t have been nicer and friendlier! I’m definitely excited to be capturing their quirky North Coast wedding in a few short
