I’m excited to share the story of Emma and Josh’s unforgettable engagement shoot, which was as charming and unique as the couple themselves. When they reached out for their “Get-to-Know-You” session, I couldn’t wait to dive into their love story and capture every magical moment.

Mussenden Temple is one of the most iconic and sought-after locations for weddings on the whole island of Ireland. Built in the 18th Century by Frederick Hervey, 4th Earl of Bristol, who served as the Church of Ireland Lord Bishop of Derry from 1768 until 1803. This wasn’t the first time Liz and Stewart have wandered around this famous landmark; this is, in fact, where Stewart dropped to one knee and popped the question meaning there was only ever going to be one choice for their wedding ceremony!

So here’s the thing… here in Ireland, we are absolutely blessed with some of the most awe-inspiring scenery; Our coastline is one of the most stunning and famous in the world and our beaches are things of myth and legend. When Jennie and Richard contacted me about photographing their wedding, their brief could not have been simpler: natural, relaxed, candid, fun. This intimate wedding on the North Coast encapsulated the very definition of what it means to appreciate family and friends. Starting off in Portrush Town Hall, with views over Barry’s Amusements, West Bay and harbour and progressing to a private outdoor terrace at the opulent Me & Mrs Jones boutique hotel, this wedding had everything that you could possibly want for your special day!

Set against a backdrop of falling golden, red and auburn leaves as autumn’s grip took hold, Cheryl and Gary’s wedding at the gorgeous Leighinmohr House Hotel has been without doubt, one of the most beautiful days in recent memory. This couple’s planning and organisational skills were a thing of beauty which meant their day was filled with precious details that meant the world to them

Hazel and Paul’s incredible North Coast wedding took place in the most serene and unique venue imaginable; a quaint cottage by the sea with their nearest and dearest for company proving unequivocally that bigger does not mean better!

One of the best things about a pre-wedding ‘Get to Know You’ Session, other than meeting your couple, is getting to explore wonderful locations. When Jennie and Richard chose a walk around Mountsandal Wood for their photoshoot I was absolutely delighted - I have lived on the North Coast my entire life however I had never visited this lovely forest of broadleaf and conifer trees.

Nestled quaintly along the gorgeous North Coast, Bishop’s Gate is a supremely beautiful and meticulously maintained garden walkway that is perfect for a quiet meander, family outing or a wonderful pre-wedding ‘Get to Know You’ session.

Hidden away in the Glens of Antrim, overlooking the ocean, sits the astonishing Hillmount House; a luxurious Georgian house, stable block and coach house. Nestled on the outskirts of Larne on the road to Glenarm, what appears unassuming from the roadside opens up to the most beautiful stately home, perched atop a hill with views over the Atlantic Ocean.

Where do you even start when you meet a couple who are just too beautiful for words; this is a question I had been asking myself over and over again for almost an entire a year! I recently had the pleasure of photographing Connie and Adam’s pre-wedding shoot, alongside their ‘Pawesome Pal’ Penny, at the stunning Whitepark Bay. Situated on the North Antrim Coast, this beautiful beach combines panoramic ocean views, golden sands and lush green sand dunes.

When I asked Linda and Adam where they would like to meet for their ‘Get to Know You’ session, they were stumped for ideas. The North Coast is one of the most beautiful places in Ireland, if not the world and we are truly spoilt for choice when it comes to scenic locations for a couple’s photoshoot. Eventually they left the decision to me. One Saturday morning they received a text message and a pin to follow on Google maps - I was taking them to my ‘Secret Beach’ for a mini adventure session on a lesser seen and visited part of the North Coast.
