Whitepark Bay ‘Get to Know You Session’
Where do you even start when you meet a couple who are just too beautiful for words; this is a question I had been asking myself over and over again for almost an entire a year! I recently had the pleasure of photographing Connie and Adam’s pre-wedding shoot, alongside their ‘Pawesome Pal’ Penny, at the stunning Whitepark Bay. Situated on the North Antrim Coast, this beautiful beach combines panoramic ocean views, golden sands and lush green sand dunes. Come at the right time and you might meet some of the ‘residents’ chilling out and catching some rays (more on that later).
Having your picture taken by professionals can be a daunting task for even the most seasoned Instagram influencer. I try my best to be as light-hearted and laid back as possible; my mantra is definitely “if you’re having fun, we’re having fun.” Connie, Adam and Penny were an absolute dream team and so much fun to ‘work’ with (I use the word work in the loosest possible sense). They made my afternoon so effortless and fun that I almost had to pinch myself at times. Whether it was warm embraces, stolen glances or cheeky smiles; I could have swore that these guys had done this a thousand times.
Hollywood would have you believe that you should never work with children or animals; I don’t know about the former but it was an absolute privilege to spend an afternoon with the gorgeous and ever-so-photogenic Penny; Penny is a Lakeland wire-haired fox terrier who made me feel part the pack while she roamed the dreamy sands of the Bay.

The North Antrim coastline is one of the most stunning and beautiful places in the world for a photoshoot and i couldn’t have been more excited when Connie picked Whitepark Bay and Ballintoy Harbour. That being said, you never truly know what to expect with the inclement Irish weather and through strong wind, constant threat of downpour and harsh rays of sun bursting the clouds, i persevered and obtained a wild, windswept and full of life look that i just can’t get enough of.
Oh…! remember those relaxed residents I told you about earlier? Whitepark Bay is famous for its cows who meander down from the grassy dunes to sunbathe on the warm, golden sands.
